The Hope College men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at Calvin Saturday in the 97th game between the two rivals.
The Flying Dutchmen are now 3-4 overall and 0-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.
Calvin scored twice in each half en route to improving to 6-0-1 overall and 2-0 in league matches.
Senior goalie Sam Barthel of Waukesha, Wisconsin (Waukesha HS), made four saves for Hope in 72 minutes, 33 seconds of action.
Sophomore goalie Joseph Fifer of Caledonia, Michigan (Caledonia HS), had one save against Calvin.
Hope returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at Adrian.
