Three MIAA Men's Lacrosse Players, Four Programs Earn USILA Academic Awards

At the end of June, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its individual and team 2023 Academic Award recipients.  This year, the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is represented by three student-athletes and four men's lacrosse programs.

In order to receive academic recognition from the USILA, teams or individuals must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least a 3.00.

The MIAA programs that were deemed USILA All-Academic Teams include Adrian College, Albion College, Hope College, and Trine University.

The six student-athletes representing the conference on the USILA Scholar All-American Team are Albion's Jace Conley and Eddie Symons, along with Hope's Michael Mann.

A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior-year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).  He must have behaved in a manner that brought credit to himself, his institution and to college lacrosse both on and off the field.  He must also be an All-American, a member of the North/South All-Star team or an outstanding league or conference player.
