Eight MIAA Men's Lacrosse Athletes Earn All-Region Honors from IMLCA

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is represented by eight student-athletes on the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Assocation (IMLCA) All-Region 5 Team.

Both Albion College and Hope College had four players selected to the All-Region 5 Team.

Brit Jace Conley and Flying Dutchman Luke Wierengo both received a spot on the All-Region 5 First Team.

Conley, a fifth-year senior attacker, led Albion to the 2023 MIAA Championship title with an unblemished conference record of 6-0 and an overall record of 14-5.  Conley was selected as the 2023 MIAA Offensive Player of the Year.  He concluded the year as the league's leader with 114 points and 77 goals.  Conley was also second in the MIAA with 37 assists, 158 shots, and 113 shots on goal.

Wierengo, a sophomore long-stick midfielder, assisted Hope to a 5-1 mark in conference play (13-6 overall) and the 2023 MIAA Tournament title.  Wierengo earned a spot on the All-MIAA First Team for the first time in his career this season.  He concluded the 2023 campaign top five in the league with 82 ground balls and 39 caused turnovers.

Albion senior attacker Sam Puzevic was selected to the All-Region 5 Second Team.  Puzevic became a three-time All-MIAA honoree this year after receiving First Team recognition.  He concluded the year as the conference's leader with 19 man-up goals, 184 shots, and 118 shots on goal.

The following players received All-Region 5 Honorable Mention recognition: Albion fifth-year senior Jack Gogonis, Albion senior Eddie Symons, Hope sophomore David Brace, Hope junior Michael Mann, and Hope fifth-year senior Tucker Martinez.
