Students may have moved off campus, but come Wednesday afternoon, Albion College will be buzzing.
After the men's lacrosse team's 8-5 win over Hope in the MIAA Tournament Championship, the Britons claimed the automatic bid from the league and have earned the right to host a First Round game. Albion (14-4) will host Dubuque (12-7) on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
ABOUT THE SPARTANS
An overtime goal by Sam Todd lifted Dubuque over Lake Forest, 11-10, in Saturday's Midwest Lacrosse Conference Championship. The Spartans earned the conference's AQ, clinching a spot in the dance for the first time in school history
Three players on Dubuque's roster have over 40 points. The Spartans are led by Giovanni Silva (56 points) and Ben Farraday (53 points). Gavin Hughes is the other prime threat, coming into Wednesday's game with 43 points.
Ryan Doyle's 96 caused turnovers handily leads the NCAA – with the second most in the nation belonging to Albion's Joey Tatar.
ABOUT THE BRITONS
Jace Conley's 119 points is tied for the most in the NCAA, and leads a power Briton offense. Sophomore Ethan Rottell (74 points) and junior Sam Puzevic (69 points) are two more dynamic threats on the Albion attack. Albion can also turn to Gerald Haadsma, Timmy Salinas and Brock Yabs to help offensively.
Defensively, Tatar is joined by an extremely talented back line with Bear Nelson, Gage Thrall and Will Tessin. In goal, Jack Gogonis was unflappable in Saturday's win, stopping 14 shots and looking brilliant.
This is Albion's fifth-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament in school history and first since 2018. The Brits are 1-4 all-time in playoff appearances.

There will be no presales. All tickets must be purchased in person on Wednesday prior to entering the stadium. Tickets will go on sale at 2 p.m. on the day of the game. Prices are as follows:

Seniors 62+: $5
Children 2-18: $5
Dubuque and Albion faculty/staff/students (WITH ID): $5
Children under 2: FREE
