Undefeated Hope Men's Lacrosse Claims 2022 MIAA Championship

FREELAND, Mich. -- The Hope College men's lacrosse program was deemed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's (MIAA) regular-season champion after concluding the 2022 season with a perfect 6-0 record.  This is the third MIAA title in program history for the Flying Dutchmen.

Hope clinched the title outright following a 12-2 victory over Calvin on April 28.  Senior attacker Jack Radzille, sophomore attacker Michael Mann, and senior attacker/midfielder Zach Wiggins have led the Flying Dutchmen this year, all concluding the regular season with double digits.  Radzille totaled 28 goals and 12 assists, while Mann finished with 20 goals and 15 assists, and Wiggins with 19 goals and five assists.

The Flying Dutch previously won the 2021 MIAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed, upsetting top-seeded Albion, 19-13.  Hope will compete as the No. 1 seed in the 2022 MIAA Tournament, which will be held on May 4 (semifinals) and May 7 (championship).

Joining Hope in the four-team tournament are second-seeded Albion, third-seeded Adrian, and fourth-seeded Trine.

The Flying Dutch will host No. 4 Trine (3-3) in the semifinals, while No. 2 Albion (5-1) will host No. 3 Adrian (4-2).  The highest-remaining seed will host the final contest on May 7.
