USILA D3 NATIONAL TEAM OF THE WEEK - 3-16-21

Calvin junior Nick Dueweke has been named to the USILA Division III Team after a standout performance this past Saturday in a 22-13 win at Adrian.

A native of Clarkston and a graduate of Notre Dame Prep High School, Dueweke had a breakout game Saturday afternoon in a 22-13 non-conference victory at Adrian College.

In the victory, Dueweke matched a Calvin single-game record for goals with 10 goals on 13 shots. The 10-goal game matches the original record set by Nate Ray in 2016 in a February 12 game against Defiance.

Dueweke had a strong all-around game in the win on Saturday as he scooped up five ground balls and caused one turnover.

On Monday, Dueweke was named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week. He is one of two MIAA players on this week's USILA Division III National Team of the Week. Max Leventis of Adrian was also named the honor team.

Calvin is off to a 2-1 start and returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Alma for a 7 p.m. game.
