Around the MIAA

Adrian opened the 2020 season on Saturday with a 20-13 loss at Benedictine (Illinois)… freshman Colton Hart (4g), sophomore Travis Fox (2g, 2a) and classmate Peyton Gasche (2g, 2a) all had four points… Sophomore Max Leventis won 18 of 35 face-offs at the "X" and had team-best five ground balls… Classmate Christian Aurand tied Leventis for the team lead with five ground balls…it was the first meeting between the programs…The Eagles compete in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference--the Bulldogs' former home where they won three straight championships from 2010 to 2012 by winning 23 MLC games in a row.

The Scots dropped an 18-9 decision to Ohio Northern University on Saturday (Feb. 22). Connor Alley (Powell, Ohio) led the Scots with four goals on seven shots to go along with two assists. He also picked up a team-high three ground balls. Chase Hunyadi (Pepper Pike, Ohio), Trevor Bailey (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.), Ezra Leppanen (Dewitt, Mich.), Byron Weber (Westfield, Mich.) and Tommy Quinlan (Orland Park, Ill.) scored the other goals for the Scots. Hunyadi also added two assists to his point total. Hank Wickley (Petaluma, Calif.) made 15 saves in net.
