Around the MIAA
Adrian (3-5, 0-0)
Adrian had its lone game of the week scheduled for Saturday with Anderson (Ind.) canceled, because the Ravens didn't have a complete roster to make the trip to Adrian…the Bulldogs' next action on the field isn't until their official MIAA opener on Tuesday, April 9 versus Alma—a span of 17 days since its last outing, which was an 18-3 win over Mount Saint Joseph (March 23)…freshman Chris French is second in MIAA goal-scoring with 29 and total points with 43…fellow first-year attackman Peyton Gasche is third in points (41) and second in assists (26)…freshman middie Max Leventis leads the MIAA in ground balls with 99, which is third in school history for a season…Leventis is also second in face-off wins (125-213) and seventh in percentage (.587)…freshman defenseman Christian Aurand tops the conference with 21 caused turnovers.

Alma (4-7, 0-0)
The Alma College men's lacrosse team lost, 17-4, to the Elmhurst College Bluejays on Sunday (March 31) at Elmhurst's Langhorst Field. Senior midfielder Jared Nycz (Buffalo, N.Y.) scored two goals and tallied one assist to the lead the Scots. Junior attacker Connor Alley (Powell, Ohio) extended a season-long goal streak to 11 games with a score less than two and half minutes left in the contest.
Calvin (6-4, 0-0)
Calvin split a pair of weekend games - falling to Carthage 16-5 and defeating Northland 22-4. In the loss to Carthage, Calvin trailed 4-3 at halftime but was outscored 9-1 in the third quarter. The Knights bounced back with a lopsided win over Northland the following afternoon. Noah Boelens and Chase Sparling paced the Knights with four goals apiece.
Hope (6-3, 0-0)
The Hope College men's lacrosse team wrapped up non-league play with a 20-4 home victory against Northland College on Friday and an 18-16 home loss to Carthage College on Saturday. Against Northland, Sophomore Stephen Holpuch (Oswego, Ill.) led a balanced attack with three goals. Against Carthage, the game featured 11 lead changes and 10 tie scores. Junior midfielder Andrew Pavey (Grand Rapids, Mich.) scored a season-high four goals to lead the Flying Dutchmen.
Kalamazoo (4-2, 0-0)
The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team dropped both of its games in its spring break trip out east. The Hornets fell 16-12 to Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday before losing to Misericordia 18-9 Saturday. Freshman Dylan McGorisk posted games of five goals and one assist before scoring two goals and adding another assist later in the week. Brandon Wright scored three goals and dished out one assist for Kalamazoo. Jake Fales led the Hornets with 10 ground balls in the two matches. Kalamazoo returns to play on Wednesday, April 3 with a non-conference game against Calvin at 7 p.m. before travelling to Alma on Saturday to open MIAA play.

Trine (5-1, 0-0)
Defeated MSOE, 10-6, in Trine's only action for the week...Neil Orr and Eric Peal combined for nine of the team's 10 goals with Orr scoring a career-high five goals to go along with two assists for seven points...Joseph Steigmeyer got the win in net with 15 saves in 60 minutes and had a 71.4 save percentage.
