Calvin Men's Golf Duo Receives GCAA Ping Great Lakes All-Region Honors

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Calvin duo of senior Sam Holland and junior Kasen Anderson have been named to the PING Division III Great Lakes All-Region Team. The Calvin duo were two of the 15 golfers named to the team.

"I am really happy for Sam and Kasen," said head coach Brian Bolt. "Both of them had really great years. I am pleased that both Sam and Kasen are being recognized for their hard work."

Holland, a senior from Novi, Michigan, was an All-MIAA First Team selection this spring. Holland is a graduate of Detroit Catholic Central High School. Holland had a 74.00 average over the course of the 2021-22 season. During the MIAA season this spring, he matched an MIAA single tournament record with a round of 65. He was a three-time MIAA medalist during the spring season.

Anderson, a junior from Stillwater, Minnesota, earned All-MIAA First Team honors this spring. He had a 73.5 average over the course of the 2021-22 season. He was named the MIAA's Most Valuable Golfer this spring. He was a three-time MIAA medalist during the spring season.

Holland and Anderson helped Calvin finish second as a team in the final MIAA regular season standings.
