Around the MIAA (Through Sept. 22 results)
Adrian
Adrian Men’s Golf hits the course again on Saturday when it hosts the MIAA Jamboree #3 at the Lenawee Country Club, starting at 1 p.m. Freshman Jack Johnson tied a career-low and set a personal record for tournament finish in the Bulldogs’ last appearance at the conference’s second Jamboree. Johnson shot a 77 which was good for 12th overall out of 48 competitors. Junior Hayden Winch (78, T-17th) also had a top-20 finish…as a team, the Bulldogs came in fifth place with a 319.
Albion
Justin Kapke and John Slivka scored in the 70s as Albion hosted an invitational at the Duck Lake Country Club and played in a MIAA Jamboree at the Pine River Country Club. Both golfers boast a 79-stroke average this fall.
Alma
The Scots hosted the second MIAA Jamboree on Saturday (Sept. 21) at the Pine River Country Club. The Scots finished in seventh place as a team overall with a combined score of 324, one stroke behind Kalamazoo. Alma was led by freshman Andrew Curran (Byron Center, Mich.) with a score of 78 (+6). Behind Curran was senior Tait Morrissey (Big Rapids, Mich.) with a 79 (+7). The Scots remain in seventh place through two of six MIAA rounds.
Calvin

Hope
Hope took first place at the Duck Lake Invitational in Albion and second place at the MIAA Jamboree at Pine River Country Club in Alma last week. On Sept. 17, the Flying Dutchmen shot a winning score of 295 at Duck Lake Country Club. Junior Luke Tapani (Wayzata, Minn.) and freshman Seth Almquist (Minneapolis, Minn.) both carded 3-over-par 73s to share medalist honors in the 20-golf, three-team men's tournament. On Saturday, Hope recorded a team score of 307. Freshman Jack Crawford (Carmel, Ind.) led the Flying Dutchmen with a 2-over 74.
Kalamazoo
Kalamazoo finished sixth at the season's second MIAA Jamboree hosted by Alma at Pine River. The Hornets shot 323 as a team which was just four strokes out of fifth place. Parker Pickell led Kalamazoo and finished tied for fourth overall with a 74. Zach Colburn tied for 12th by carding a 77. Kalamazoo returns to action Saturday, Sept. 28 at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Adrian.
Olivet
Olivet finished in eighth-place at the second MIAA jamboree of the season, played at Alma's Pine River Country Club. The Comets carded a 337 team score, led by junior Cameron Lemon's 79.
Trine
Trine captured the second MIAA event of the fall season at the MIAA Jamboree #2...All five team eligible players scored in the 70's and placed in the top-10 led by Nick Knowlton who posted back-to-back medalist honors in conference events with a two-under par 70 on the way to MIAA Men's Golfer of the Week honors.
