FREELAND, Mich. -- Three MIAA Men's Golfers have been selected to the Golf Coaches Association of America Division III Ping All-Region for the Great Lakes Region. Kalamazoo's Jackson Jones and Parker Pickell along with Trine's Grant Brettnacher represent the MIAA in the list of recipients.
The three golfers were among 15 men selected for this honor from the Great Lakes Region.
This is the first time in Kalamazoo's history that two men's golfers have earned this honor in the same season. Jones and Pickell are the fourth and fifth All-Region selections ever for Kalamazoo. Both men earned All-MIAA honors in the fall; Jones was First-Team and Pickel was Second-Team.
Brettnacher led the Thunder in the fall to its first MIAA Championship bringing home the MIAA Most Valuable Golfer, First-Team All-MIAA, and the Sportsmanship awards.
