Around the MIAA

Adrian began its spring season at the Pfeiffer University Invitational in Hardeeville, S.C., where the 36-hole tournament concluded on Tuesday…the Bulldogs, who were fourth after the first day, improved to a third-place tie the following afternoon and finished 316+314=630…senior Andrew Skibski led the Bulldogs with a 79+77=156 for eighth place out of a field of 46 student-athletes, followed by Freshman A.J. Clark with a 76+83=159 (T-12th), sophomore Hayden Winch with a 80+78=158 (T-10th), freshman Jackson Tellerico with a 82+78=160 (T-15th) and sophomore Brett McGugan with an 81+81=162 (T-18th) as the entire AC lineup finished in the top-20 individually…the Invitational included NCAA Division II scholarship programs Mars Hill (1st place) and Alderson Broaddus (7th place) as well as the host Falcons, who transitioned from Division I to D-III recently…the Bulldogs are idle until next month when they travel to Portage, Mich. For the Steven Tyler Invitational hosted by Kalamazoo College at The Moors Golf Club.
