Trine's Bowman and Miller Headline D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region

FREELAND, Mich. -- Trine University junior Nick Bowman was selected the Great Lakes Region Player of the Year, while Trine head coach Brooks Miller was named the region's Coach of the Year.  Albion senior Caden Ebeling and Hope senior Preston Granger also represented the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on All-Region Teams.

Bowman, who also received All-Region First Team recognition, was voted the 2021 MIAA Most Valuable Player and was selected to the conference's First Team after this season.  He led the league in scoring (22.4 PPG | 112 points), field goals (44-of-77), assists (23), and steals (24).  Bowman was also named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week twice this year.

Ebeling, a three-time First Team All-MIAA athlete, earned All-Great Lakes Region Second Team accolades.  He led the Brits with 17.2 points per league game, while also contributing 7.7 boards per contest, and 1.7 assists per game.

Granger is a two-time First Team All-MIAA honoree.  He led the Flying Dutchmen in conference play with 17.2 points per game and 0.8 blocks per contest.  Granger also dished out 1.3 assists per game and grabbed 6.2 rebounds per contest.

Trine head coach Brooks Miller led the team to a 17-1 record, the Thunder's first MIAA Tournament title, and its second regular-season championship.  Miller earned his 150th win as head coach during the 2021 season.
