For the third consecutive season and the 26th time in the last 28 seasons, the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association was the top conference in NCAA Division III men's basketball attendance. The eight-member men's conference ranked first nationally with a home-game average of 694 fans per game to lead the country.

Hope men extended their streak as national leader at NCAA Division III for attendance for the 21st consecutive year, with the Flying Dutchmen averaging 2,207 fans for 13 games at home.

Two other MIAA teams were in the top 25: Calvin moved up from 10th in 2017-18 to eighth nationally with an average of 943 fans over 14 home games; and Olivet climed to 21st in 2018-19 with an average of 716 fans per home game, improving from a 29th national ranking last season.

The top two games featuring two NCAA Division III men's basketball teams were both of Hope and Calvin's contests as part of #TheRivalry: at Hope Feb. 2 (3,575) and at Calvin Jan. 9 (3,287).

Since the NCAA began tracking home attendance average for NCAA Division III in 1977, an MIAA-member institution has been the national leader 34 times over 43 seasons.
