Four Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's basketball players were honored this week (March 12) for their success during the 2017-18 season by gathereing All-Great Lakes Region honors from online publication d3hoops.com.

Olivet's Jalen Adams led the way with First-Team All-Great Lakes Region honors, with Hope's Jason Beckman gathering second team accolades. Both Olivet's Tracy Edmond and Trine's Myles Copeland were named to the third team. All four were All-MIAA selections this past February.

Adams averaged 26.2 points per game to lead the MIAA on his way to MIAA Most Valuable Player accolades; Adams and the Comets earned their first MIAA crown since 1973 with a 10-4 MIAA record.

Beckman poured in a team-best 22.2 points per game while aiding Hope to a Second Round appearance in the NCAA Championship. His 645 points in 2017-18 ranks as second-most in program history.

Edmond was second on the team with 21.4 points per game while setting an Olivet record with 192 assists on the season. Edmond also gathered 59 steals, which is sixth-best in Olivet history.

Copeland was fourth in the MIAA and first for Trine in scoring (20.1 ppg), surpassing the 20-point mark in 12 contests. On the season, Copeland shot 48.7 percent from the field and averaged 6.3 rebounds per game.
