On Tuesday, September 26, Alma College's Carter St. John and Hope College's Nick Flegler were both announced to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

St. John, a sophomore quarterback, led the Scots to a 48-28 victory at Wittenberg on Saturday.  St. John threw 323 yards and two touchdowns, finishing with a pass-efficiency rating of 241.3 and a completion percentage of .880 (22-of-25).  He currently leads the MIAA with a completion percentage of .720 and a pass-efficiency rating of 225.2.  St. John is also second in the league with 11.8 yards per attempt and 14 touchdowns.

Flegler, a sophomore cornerback, assisted the Flying Dutchmen to a 54-17 win against Northwestern (Minn.) this past weekend.  He totaled eight tackles (seven solo), including a tackle for loss, along with two interceptions.  Flegler is currently second in the MIAA with two interceptions and third with 35 tackles.

Conference competition begins this Saturday with Alma hosting Trine University at 2:00 p.m. and Hope traveling to Adrian College for a 2:00 p.m. contest.  Albion College hosts Kalamazoo College at 1:00 p.m. and The University of Olivet hosts Alfred St. at 12:00 p.m. for a non-conference matchup.
