Alma Football Defends MIAA Championship Title

ALBION, Mich. -- Alma College won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship for the second-consecutive season after going undefeated both in league play (6-0) and overall (10-0).

The Scots clinched the outright victory following a 50-14 win at Albion College on Saturday, November 11.

Alma concluded the regular season as the MIAA's leader with 284 points, 47.3 points per contest, 3,019 offensive yards, 503.2 offensive yards per game, 1,767 passing yards, 294.5 passing yards per contest, 12.9 passing yards per attempt, 21 passing touchdowns, 5.1 yards per rush, a kick-return average of 25.4 yards, 11 punt returns for 108 yards, 31 PATs, seven fumbles recovered, 12 defensive interceptions for 140 yards, and two defensive touchdowns.

Alma receives the MIAA's automatic bid into the 2023 NCAA Division III Football Championships.  The NCAA Selection Show is slated for Sunday, November 12, at 5:00 p.m.  The show will stream live on NCAA.com.
