Six MIAA Standouts Named to 2023 D3football.com All-America Teams

The 2023 D3football.com All-America Team features six talented student-athletes from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).

Leading the honors is Alma College linebacker Odin Soffredine with a First Team All-America selection.  Soffredine had a dominant senior campaign, racking up 95 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 4 interceptions.  He is now a four-time All-MIAA honoree.

On the All-America Second Team is Hope College senior guard Dylan Clem and Albion College senior defensive tackle Nick Fannon.  Clem, a three-time All-MIAA selection, was the anchor of the Flying Dutchmen's offensive line, paving the way for an offense that averaged 38.1 points per game.  Meanwhile, Fannon constantly disrupted opponent's backfields with 12.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss.  Last month, the two-time All-MIAA honoree was voted the 2023 MIAA Most Valuable Defensive Player.

Rounding out the list with All-America accolades are Alma senior wide receiver Devon Frenchko and freshman long snapper Abrahm Evans of Alma on the Third Team, and Scots sophomore quarterback Carter St. John on the Fourth Team.  Both Frenchko and St. John played integral roles in Alma's high-powered offense that ranked seventh nationally in passing yards per game.  St. John, a two-time All-MIAA selection, was named the 2023 MIAA Most Valuable Offensive Player prior to being recognized as the D3football.com Region 4 Offensive Player of the Year.  Evans provided key special teams contributions as the team's long snapper the past two seasons.
