Hope's Clem and Albion's Bloomfield Named to CSC Academic All-America® Football Teams

AUSTIN, Texas -- Both Hope College's Dylan Clem and Albion College's James Bloomfield represent the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on the list of Academic All-America® honorees, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on January 23, 2024.

Clem, a senior offensive lineman for the Flying Dutchmen, earned a spot on the CSC Academic All-America® First Team.  The Civil Engineering major boasts a grade-point average of 3.95.  He assisted the Hope squad to an overall record of 8-2 and a 5-1 mark in league play.  Clem is a three-time All-MIAA honoree and earned All-America honors from D3football.com following the 2023 campaign.  He also also been named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll three times in his career.

Bloomfield was named to the CSC Academic All-America® Second Team.  The senior running back and safety receives recognition for his GPA of 3.93 as a Social Studies/Secondary Education major.  Bloomfield helped the Brits to an overall record of 7-3 and a 3-3 record against conference competition.  He was recognized with Second Team All-MIAA accolades and has been named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll three times during his career at Albion.
