Alma Football Player Evan Metiva Announced to CSC Academic All-America® Second Team

AUSTIN, Texas -- Alma College football player Evan Metiva represents the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on the Academic All-America® Second Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on December 20.

The junior defensive lineman boasts a perfect grade-point average of 4.0 as a Business Management major.  Of the 50 Division III players selected to Academic All-America® Teams, 10 selections had a GPA of 4.0.

Metiva assisted the Scots to their first regular-season title since 2004 and to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time in program history.  Alma concluded the year with an overall record of 11-1, including an unblemished conference record of 6-0.

Metiva is a two-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and the fifth Alma football player in program history to receive CSC (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America® accolades.
