Around the MIAA

Adrian (1-2, 0-0)

Adrian held on to edge Wisconsin Lutheran, 32-29, in double overtime in its Homecoming game Sept. 21…sophomore kicker Cooper West converted a 26-yard field goal before WLC’s kicker missed from 30 yards that would have sent the contest into a third extra session…senior Colton Randle ran for a career-high 207 yards on 27 carries, averaging 7.7 yards per attempt, highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown run that gave the Bulldogs a 20-3 lead at the time…freshman running back Jerome Neal added 103 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns for career bests…on defense, freshman linebacker Sam Madrid led the Bulldogs with seven total stops...the Bulldogs had four interceptions for the most in four seasons when the Bulldogs also had four against Alma Oct. 10, 2015…the 354 rushing yards churned up by the Bulldogs offense are the most since Adrian piled up a fifth-best 364 in school history against Defiance College on Sept. 5, 2015...before Saturday, the last time AC played an overtime game was seven years ago and matches the program’s longest since 2005.
