Two members of the No. 14 Trine football team garnered national weekly honors, as Trine's Lamar Carswell and Marcus Winters were both selected as the top performers at their respective positions on the Oct. 9 release of d3Football.com's National Team of the Week.

Carswell was a repeat selection by the online publication, rushing for 293 yards and a career-high five touchdowns in Trine's 52-24 win over Alma Oct. 6. It was Carswell's third consecutive game of 200 or more yards; he had TD runs of 15, 39, 43, 28 and 88 yards en route to 293 yards on 19 carries.

Winters fielded two punts against Alma, returning one kick for a 63-yard touchdown - the third of his career. For the season, Winters is averaging 21.2 yards per return which ranks sixth highest in the nation.  He has totaled 127 yards in only six attempts.
