• Alma opened thei 2017 season with a 40-34 road victory over St. Vincent College Sept. 2. The Scots never trailed in the contest, as Dylan Zaborowski (Sr., QB, Jackson, Mich.) threw for 203 yards on 10-of-22 passing with three touchdowns. Defensively, Colton Tyson (Sr., LB, Vassar, Mich.) led the Scots with 13 tackles, while Zac Peterson (Sr., LB, Holt, Mich.) added eight tackles and an interception.
• Trine cruised past Manchester in their season opener Aug. 31, 35-12. The Thunder churned out 350 yards of offense, including 217 yards rushing, led by Mark Wilson (Sr., RB, Indianapolis, Ind.) with 94 yards and one touchdown. Simeon Washington (So., LB, Toledo, Ohio) led the Trine defense with 10 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.
