Adrian Baseball Headed to Marietta College for NCAA Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA announced the tournament field for the Division III Baseball National Tournament consisting of 60 teams across the country. After winning the MIAA Tournament, the Adrian College baseball team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will travel to Marietta College for the regional round.
 
Adrian earned the No. 4 seed in the Marietta 4-team regional and will open up with No. 1 Marietta. The other game in the regional is No. 2 Mary Washington University and No. 3 Case Western Reserve University.
 
The regional is the same format as the MIAA Tournament with four teams competing in a double-elimination bracket. Adrian and Marietta will kick off the regional on Friday, May 19 at 11:00 AM followed by the other opening round game.
 
On Saturday, the winner's bracket championship game will begin the day in the morning followed by two elimination games. The championship game(s) will be played on Sunday. The winner of the regional will move on to the Super Regional round and play the winner of the Misericordia Regional the following weekend.
