Kalamazoo's Harrison Poeszat Named to CSC Academic All-America® First Team

AUSTIN, Texas -- On June 7, Kalamazoo College senior Harrison Poeszat was announced to the Academic All-America® First Team by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Poeszat boasts a grade-point average of 3.96 as a Chemistry major.  The catcher assisted the Hornets to their first regular-season title since 1927 with a 17-4 mark in conference play (31-11 overall).

Last month, Poeszat earned a spot on the All-MIAA First Team for the first time in his career.  He concluded the 2023 campaign top three in the league with 53 runs, 17 doubles, 22 hits by pitch, a batting average of .397, and a .524 on-base percentage.

Poeszat is a three-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

To be considered for CSC Academic All-America, one must be a sophomore or higher in academic standing, be a starter or a key reserve, and hold a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.50.
