Hope's Maday and Kalamazoo's Bean Named All-Americans by D3baseball.com

Both Evan Maday of Hope College and Kalamazoo College's Blake Bean represent the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on All-America Teams, as announced by D3baseball.com on June 1.

Maday, a fifth-year senior at Hope, was selected to the All-America First Team.  He led the Flying Dutchmen to the 2022 MIAA Championship title prior to being voted the MIAA Position Player of the Year.  The four-time All-MIAA honoree concluded the year as the conference leader in triples (7), home runs (11), total bases (121), batting average (career-best .436), and slugging percentage (.812).  Maday tied the Hope record of 11 home runs and is the fourth All-American in program history.

Senior outfielder Bean was announced to the All-America Third Team.  The two-time All-MIAA honoree assisted the Hornets to the 2022 MIAA Tournament crown.  Bean is the conference leader with 59 runs, 18 doubles, and a .573 on-base percentage.  He is also second in the MIAA with nine home runs and a .431 batting average.  Bean is the third All-American in program history at Kalamazoo.
