Hope College's Brant Kym claimed a national baseball honor on Wednesday.

The senior from Libertyville, Illinois (Libertyville HS) was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week at shortstop for the first time in his career.

Kym hit safely in all four Flying Dutchmen league wins last week, including four-hit games in back-to-back games. 

The business and economics major batted .706 (12-for-17) with three doubles and a home run, his first of the season and the sixth of his career.

Kym scored five and drove in nine runs.
