FREELAND, Mich. -- At the conclusion of the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) regular baseball season, head coaches from the MIAA's eight member institutions that sponsor baseball voted on All-MIAA awards.

Fifth-year senior Pierce Banks of Adrian College was voted the MIAA Pitcher of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to their 12th-straight regular-season championship.  Banks concluded league play with 38.0 innings pitched, an ERA of 1.89, 42 strikeouts, and 9.95 strikeouts per nine innings.

Fifth-year senior Gunner Rainey of Adrian College was selected the MIAA Position Player of the Year for his second-consecutive season.  In MIAA play, Rainey finished first in the league with 42 hits, 59 total bases, a batting average of .506, and a fielding percentage of 1.000.  He also concluded conference competition second in doubles (12) and third in both RBI (25) and on-base percentage (.543).

Banks and Rainey each earned All-MIAA honors for the third time in their collegiate careers, along with Adrian's Brady Wood and Hope's Evan Maday.  Adrian's Thomas Miller, Albion's Drew Olszewski, Calvin's Ricky Padilla and Trevor Van Duyn, Kalamazoo's Jack Brockhaus, and Trine's Adam Wheaton all garnered All-MIAA accolades for a second time.
