Albion (17-12, 12-6)

Albion has 12 victories over MIAA rivals this season, matching its most since 2015 when the Britons finished 12-16…The Britons helped the pitching staff by turning seven double plays in four games (sweeping a home doubleheader vs. Kalamazoo and splitting a home doubleheader vs. Adrian)…First-year pitcher Drew Weaver (Macomb, Mich.) threw his first collegiate shutout with a four hitter in the Britons 11-0 victory over Kalamazoo…Mitch Shedlowsky (Waterford, Mich.) allowed four hits while striking out seven in the 3-1 victory over Adrian…DH Justin Charron (Brownstown Township, Mich.) hit .556 (5-for-9) with two doubles and a RBI in three games.

Alma (9-17, 5-9)

Rain forced Alma's baseball games against Olivet College to be postponed. The Scots will now play Olivet on Monday, April 29 at 2 p.m.

Calvin (11-17, 7-11)

Calvin took both ends of a doubleheader from Kalamazoo on Saturday, winning by scores of 2-1 and 5-2. Calvin received strong starting pitching performances in both games. In its 2-1 win, senior Trevor VanDuyn picked up his fourth win of the season, tossing a seven-inning complete game victory. Freshman Andrew Hung drove in both of Calvin's runs with a run-scoring single. In the 5-2 victory over Kalamazoo in game two, sophomore Mark Primus got the start and tossed seven shutout innings, striking out seven and walking only one. Senior Ryan Petersen keyed Calvin's offense in the victory with four hits.

RV Hope (25-1, 15-1)

Hope went 3-0 last week, defeating Aquinas on the road, 11-6, in non-league play and Trine, 5-0 and 4-3 in 11 innings. First baseman Ted Eppinga hit two home runs in the same inning vs. Aquinas. Sean Hoey fired a complete-game shutout in Game 1 vs. Trine. Right fielder Mason Opple hit a walk-off single in Game 2 vs. Trine. The Flying Dutchmen have won 16 games in a row and top NCAA Division III in winning percentage.

The Hornets (8-19, 6-12) are scheduled to finish their season series with Calvin on Monday before playing a four game series with Alma over the weekend.

Olivet (4-24, 2-14)

The Olivet College baseball team lost both games of a rescheduled doubleheader April 15 against Trine. All four games of the Comets' series against Alma College were postponed and will not be made up until next week (April 29-30) since Olivet has spring semester exams this week.
