Week #9 Wrap for week of April 16-22
• Adrian made their first week in the top 25 count with a four-game sweep of Albion April 21-22. In a 1-0 series-opening win, Tommy Parsons (Sr., New Albany, Ohio) gutted out a six-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts in the victory; it was his sixth complete game of the season.
• Kalamazoo won five out of six outings last week, including Ryan Orr's no-hit victory over Albion April 18, 7-0. In that game, Orr threw a seven-inning complete game, walking just one to face one more than the minimum. The Hornets then followed up with taking three of four against Calvin.
• Trine's four-game sweep of Hope April 20-21 vaulted the Thunder to the top half of the standings with eight games to play. In the first doubleheader of the series, Trine twice stepped off the field with game-winning hits; first, it was Colton Conn (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio) with his game-ending double before Jake Roddy (So., Angola, Ind.) capped a three-run seventh with an RBI single to take game two.
• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for April 23 were:
- Pitcher: Ryan Orr, Kalamazoo
- Position: Alex Fultz, Kalamazoo
