Game #1: Adrian 9, Calvin 2 | Adrian recap

Adrian senior pitcher Tommy Parsons broke his own school season strikeouts benchmark, sophomore Brady Wood went 2-for-5 with four runs batted in, and the nationally-ranked Bulldogs opened the 2018 MIAA Baseball Tournament with a 9-2 victory over Calvin. Parsons went the distance in throwing a nine-hitter with eight strikeouts. Both Calvin runs came in the first inning. Hunter Hayes added a team-high three hits, including two doubles.

Game #2: Alma 10, Hope 8 | Alma recap

Alma sophomore Max Trucks provided the heroics for the host Scots, going 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and four RBIs to lead Alma in their 10-8 win over Hope Wednesday. Trucks hit a two-RBI triple in the bottom of the eighth to put the Scots ahead for good, while senior Ben Finzel sealed the game with a diving defensive stop in the top of the ninth to prevent a run and record the final out.
