• In a doubleheader sweep of Trine April 22, Hope had 16 hits in a 15-7 victory in game two, with 10 of those hits being doubles; in that win, Jordon Fairchild (So., IF, Muskegon, Mich.) went 3-for-3 with three walks and four runs in the leadoff spot.
• Kalamazoo had an unblemished week and extended their winning streak to seven games with a non-conference win against Illinois Tech April 18 to go with a series sweep of Olivet. In game one at Olivet April 22, the Hornets benefitted from a three-hit shutout by Ryan Orr (Jr., P, DeWitt, Mich.); the nightcap featured 20 Kalamazoo hits in their 13-5 victory.
• Trine went 2-2 with a series split against Hope. In their doubleheader sweep of the Flying Dutch April 21, the Thunder pounded out 36 hits in two games.
