Adrian's Tommy Parsons (Jr., RHP, New Albany, Ohio) earned national recognition this week for his performances on the mound for the Bulldogs in the first week of action for Adrian. Parsons was selected to the D3Baseball.com's National Team of the Week March 6 after opening his junior campaign with a 1-1 record in two appearances, which included an impressive 15-strikeout, two-hit, complete-game shutout against Transylvania.
Parsons' 15 strikeouts was not only a career best, but ranks second-best in the NCAA this season and is among the top five single-game performances in Adrian baseball history. In his two appearances, Parsons did not issue a single walk.
On Wednesday, Parsons received an honorable mention nod from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association for his pitching performances.
