Freshman Owen Fremeau (Jackson, Mich. / Western) competed in his first outdoor collegiate track and field meet at the Margaret Simmons Invitational, hosted by Murray State University.  Fremeau set personal bests in all three of his throwing events.  He finished second in the discus with a school-record throw of 46.35m, third in the shot put with a throw of 14.40m, and seventh in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.25m.  Fremeau's performance in the discus is currently ranked eleventh in NCAA, while his throw in the shot put is 28th in the nation.
