Sophomore Sara Schermerhorn (Traverse City, Mich. / Traverse City West) assisted the Flying Dutch to their fifth MIAA Championship title since 2018 on Saturday.  Schermerhorn set three MIAA records in the meet and won three events (200m dash, 400m dash, 4x400m relay).  She also broke the existing record in the 60m dash shortly after finishing the 400m dash but was bested by by Avery Campbell.  Her split running alone in the 4x400m relay was 56.5.  Schermerhorn is ranked third in the nation in the 200m dash, ninth in the country in the 400m dash, and 26th in the 60m dash.
