Sophomore Katie Seinen (Jenison, Mich. / Unity Christian) competed at the GVSU Al Owens Classic over the weekend.  Seinen improved on her conference-leading mark in the pole vault with a performance of 3.45m.  She finished third out of 20 in the open section of the meet.  Her mark is a lifetime personal record and just outside of the top 50 nationally.  This is the highest mark for Calvin University in ten years.
