Junior Derik Smith (Niles, Mich. / Edwardsburg) competed at the GVSU Al Owens Invitational over the weekend.  Smith finished the long jump with a mark of 6.66m.  His performance is currently ranked third in the MIAA, second in America's T64 ParaAthletics Rankings, and fourth in the World ParaAthletics Rankings.
