Junior attack Juli Kirkpatrick (Granger, Ind. / Penn) assisted the Flying Dutch to a 1-1 record throughout the week, defeating Aurora (17-9) and coming up short against Chicago (25-8). In both games, Kirkpatrick was a key player in Hope's offense. Against Aurora, she was the attacker who exploited their zone defense and saw the feeds inside. In the game against Chicago, Kirkpatrick was a key player in transition and off the draw when Hope gained possession. She was fearless in driving to the cage as Flying Dutch took on their defense. Kirkpatrick tallied four goals, three assists, and a ground ball. She ended the week with an impressive 100 sog%.
