Junior OH Addie VanderWeide (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Grand Rapids Christian) assisted the Flying Dutch to a 3-0 sweep to start the season, including victories against St. Olaf (3-1), No. 23 Otterbein (3-2), and No. 14 Washington (Mo.) (3-1). In her Hope debut, VanderWeide concluded the week with 66 kills, 145 total attacks (.345), 44 digs, seven blocks (two solo, five assists), and 74.5 points. She was named to the All-Tournament Team and tied a school record for kills in a match (28 vs. Washington University).
