Junior Tyler Herrema (Grandville, Mich. / Grandville) won his first college tournament in the 149-pound title going 5-0 to lead the University of Olivet wrestling team to a sixth-place finish at the Ohio Northern University Polar Bear Invitational. Herrema started the day with a 20-4 technical fall over his Division II opponent, defeated his next opponent with a fall in the first period, followed by a 5-0 win over his opponent from Dubuque, and then won 7-1 to reach the championship bout. In the championship match, Herrema defeated his Division II opponent in a major decision 14-3.
