Freshman first baseman Edward Wagner (Toledo, Ohio / St. John Jesuit) led the Bulldogs to a 3-1 record over the week, including a 6-3 victory over Ohio Wesleyan, a 4-3 win against Ohio Wesleyan, and a 9-3 conference-opening win versus Calvin.  Wagner was 5-for-9 on the week with a pair of runs scored and slashed a .556/.733/.556.  He drove in six runs for Adrian, including four against the Knights.  Wagner also scored twice, walked three times and was hit by a pitch three times.  He had a perfect fielding percentage with 26 put outs.  Overall, Wagner is currently second in the conference with an on-base percentage of .530 and a slugging percentage of .827.
