Senior cross country runner Rachael Gallap (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Portage Northern) placed seventh overall (out of 84 competitors) at the Wayne State Warrior Challenge on Friday with a time of 23:22 on a hilly course at Willow Metropark in New Boston, Mich.  The field included several Division II teams, as well as MIAA representation from Adrian and Calvin.  Gallap got right into the race and pushed the pace of the lead pack through the 2K and ran very tough through the heat the last two laps of the course.  As the top Division III finisher, Gallap led the Hornets to fourth place behind DII teams Wayne State, Michigan Tech, and Saginaw Valley State.
