MIAA Announces Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week for Nov. 1

On Tuesday, the MIAA awarded weekly honors for standout performances women's soccer.

Earning MIAA Player of the Week honors for Oct. 31 are:

• Kailey Jo, Calvin (Women’s Soccer Defensive)
• Dominique Sarnecky, Albion (Women’s Soccer Offensive)

Senior, D
Grand Rapids, Mich.

• Helped Calvin go 2-1 on the week and secure the #3 seed in MIAA Tournament

• Assisted on game-tying goal in the 86th minute to force overtime against Alma Oct. 26, where Calvin went on to win, 2-1

• In aiding the defense through offense, had key assist in win over Olivet Oct. 29

• Was part of a defense that held Alma and Olivet to four shots on goal in those wins

• Scored in three must-win games for Albion on the week in aiding the Brits to a 3-0 week to wrap up MIAA play

• Scored the game-winning goal against Kalamazoo Oct. 29 to prevent the Hornets from winning the MIAA regular season title outright

• Scored key goals in wins over Olivet Oct. 26 and Adrian Oct. 31
