Colleen Orwin of Kalamazoo collected Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women’s Swimmer/Diver of the Week honors on Monday for meets through Jan. 31.

Orwin, a junior from Portage, won three events against No. 18 Calvin last week in a close win for the Hornets. She set a personal best mark for the season in the 100-yard butterfly by turning in a winning time of 57.82. 

She swam the third split of the Hornets’ 200-yard medley relay in 26.12 for the fly. Orwin also touched the wall first in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:12.73.

It marks the second Swimmer of the Week award for Orwin this season after winning the honor on Dec. 7.
