Luke Wolters of Calvin earned Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Tuesday for meets through April 10.

Wolters, a senior from Vincennes, Ind., earned field athlete honors following a first-place showing in the pole vault at the Millikin Big Blue Invitational on Saturday he entered the competition seeded second but beat out the top seed by nearly six inches. Wolters cleared a height of 14-11 to lead a field of 15 competitors in the event.
