Ryan Orr of Kalamazoo earned the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Baseball Player of the Week awards on Monday for games through April 17.

Orr, a sophomore from DeWitt, earned pitcher of the week honors after posting a pair of complete-game victories in MIAA competition. He recorded at least seven strikeouts in each win, averaging more than one per inning pitched. Orr only surrendered one walk in 14 innings of work. He gave up three earned runs on 11 hits to yield a 1.93 ERA in two of the Hornets’ three wins on the week.
