Hannah VanAlst of Hope earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women’s lacrosse Player of the Week honors on Monday for games through April 10.
VanAlst, a freshman from Clio, won offensive honors after scoring six points in each of Hope’s league victories last week. In the conference opening 14-11 win at Alma she scored six goals, picked up seven ground balls, won three draw controls and caused four turnovers. During a 14-11 victory over Adrian, VanAlst scored four goals and added two assists to go with four draw controls, two caused turnovers and a ground ball. Thirteen of her 15 shots were on goal including all five against Adrian.
