WINNECONE, Wis. – The Hope women’s cross country team finished 28th overall with 591 points while Calvin’s squad placed 30th overall with a team score of 701 points at the NCAA Division III Championships hosted by Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday at the Lake Breeze Golf Course.
RESULTS
Hope junior Erin Herrmann claimed All-America honors by finishing 34th in a personal-best time of 21:45 on the 6K course. She became the eighth different Flying Dutch runner to earn All-America recognition.
Junior Emily Joosse crossed the line next for the Hope, placing 177th clocking in at 22:50. Flying Dutch freshman Sarah Neumar finished 188th in 22:53 while senior Julia Stock placed 198th in 22:56. Hope’s final scorer, senior Michelle Kerr, crossed the finish in 207th with a time of 23:02.
Calvin junior Lauren Strohbehn led Calvin by finishing 40th with a time of 21:50. Sophomore Kate McLain crossed the finish next for the Knights, placing 180th clocking in at 22:51.
Knight freshman Katie Diekema finished 215th in 23:06 while sophomore Autumn Vonk placed 229th in 23:12. Calvin’s final scorer, freshman Marissa Hielkema, crossed the line in 263rd with a time of 23:54.
Williams College won the women’s national title on Saturday with a team score of 81 points. Abrah Masterson of Cornell College claimed the individual national champion title with a time of 21:23.
