MIAA Named Top NCAA Division III Service Conference in 2019 by Helper Helper

2019 Helper Helper release

Two Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association athletic departments finished in the top three at the NCAA Division III level in the 2019 NCAA Team Works Service Challenge Award, powered by Helper Helper, as announced by Helper Helper in January.

Alma College finished second overall while Albion College placed third in the challenge, which tracks the number of community service hours from September to November of 2019.

In total, three MIAA athletic departments utilize Helper Helper's services: Adrian College, Albion, and Alma. The three institutions combined to make the MIAA the top conference at NCAA Division III in community service hours logged via the Helper Helper program.

Overall, NCAA Division I, II, and III institutions combined to provide 255,603 hours of community service during the fall of 2019; that total marks a 31 percent increase in hours served and a total of 10,000 volunteer opportunities.
