The Finlandia football team volunteered at the third-annual Soberfest, held at Houghton's Ray Kestner Waterfront Park in August. 

Soberfest provides a free, summertime family event without alcohol or drugs with a potluck, live music, activities, and games for kids all at no cost. The 2019 event featured the largest turnout in the event's history.

The Lions aided in set-up as well as running games for kids.
